Giving Tuesday 2019

Giving Tuesday: Building Connections

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 3rd, and throughout the year.

Giving Tuesday Update:

(including Facebook, website and in-person donations)

$1,100 raised of $1000 goal!!

The Historic Masonic Theatre is expanding its efforts in “BUILDING CONNECTIONS” with the many Theatre-supported community activities that use Theatre space free of charge. Those organizations include Alleghany Rehab, MLK Legacy Walk Luncheon and Presentation, Fall Festival and Easter Gospel Sings, Easter Sunrise Service, Flag Day, civic meetings, Carols & Cocoa, Fishing with Angels, Heroes for Heroes Movie Series to name a few. Jeff Stern, executive director for The Historic Masonic Theatre, said, “The original vision for the fully renovated Historic Masonic Theatre was that it would actively support, nurture, and connect our local community. Fully 30% of all the events we host and produce are free to attend. Our free community events are made possible through the generosity of local businesses, foundations, and, most importantly, individuals. Our goal for Giving Tuesday is modest, but it will help us continue to serve the community we proudly call home.”
