Keith Bryant Will Headline The Virginia Opry’s Country Christmas Show
Keith Bryant, Nashville recording artist, will perform as the headliner for The
Virginia Opry’s “Country Christmas Show” on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at
7:00 p.m.
Bryant is the winner of the East Coast Country Music Championship where he
finished as the best male vocalist. He is a multi-instrumentalist, skilled at playing
both the piano and the guitar, and he has ties to the Alleghany Highlands.
The Virginia Opry was designated as the Commonwealth of Virginia’s official
Opry on March 31, 2020, when Governor Ralph S. Northam signed “Senate Bill
283” that passed the Virginia Senate 40-0 and the Virginia House of Delegates by
a 93-6 vote.
Bryant, a native of Rockbridge County, has been a member of The Virginia Opry
since 2019. After signing with Lofton Creek Records in 2004, “Ridin’ with the
Legend” was released. The title song, a tribute to the late Dale Earnhardt, a
NASCAR driver who was killed in a crash in 2001, charted on “Billboard Hot
Country Songs,” remaining there for 15 weeks while reaching No 47.
“Ridin’ with the Legend” was also made into a music video that was aired on
CMT and GAC.
Having toured the West Coast via the support of a corporate sponsor, Bryant
released his fourth album on the S&S Mack label in 2007. He is the founder of the
Iron Horse, and Bryant, and Iron Horse can be viewed performing on videos that
have been posted on “YouTube.”
He made his first appearance on The Virginia Opry in 2017. The Virginia Opry is
in its 30th performance season. The Town Council of Clifton Forge has designated
the Town of Clifton Forge as “Home of The Virginia Opry,” and Natural Bridge
Historic Hotel and Conference Center has designated the hotel as the “Resort
Performance Home of The Virginia Opry.”
WKEY Radio Station’s 103.5 Big Country became the “Radio Home of The
Virginia Opry” on May 2, 1919.
Crimson River, a local five-piece Christian country band that performed as the
headliner for The Virginia Opry’s “Country Christmas” in 2020 at The Historic

Masonic Theatre, will open for Bryant. The 2020 “Country Christmas Show” was
streamed live on “Facebook” without an audience.
Glen Shelton, a 1989 graduate of Liberty University, is an award-winning
songwriter and vocalist from Madison Heights. He will emcee the show and
perform as a vocalist. He has opened shows for more than 40 nationally
prominent acts.
Founded by Appalfolks of America Association on October 17, 1992, The
Virginia Opry has earned a reputation for producing shows that are suitable for
the entire family to enjoy.
Hunt Brothers Pizza of Lexington, Kentucky is the show’s sponsor and tickets
are $20 to $30 based on the seating location.
M. Ray Allen, director of The Virginia Opry, said, “Our “Country Christmas
Show” will feature a blend of Christmas music with traditional country that
children and adults alike will enjoy.”
