“Duos Night at The Virginia Opry,” at The Historic Masonic Theatre

Tickets $ 15 – $40 (Tickets include a $5 fee at checkout for restoration and handling)

Headliner:  Glen Shelton & Billy Worley.Opening acts: Bill Wade, Jr. and Jana Allen Duo, Gentlemen South (Justin Peery and Stephen Peery), Brian Buchanan, and William Hayes. Instruments:  Bill Wade, Jr., acoustic guitar; Justin Peery, multi-instruments; Stephen Peery, keyboard; Brian Buchanan, electric guitar; William Hayes, keyboard; and Billy Worley, guitar.Vocalists:  Jana Allen, Bill Wade, Jr., Justin Peery, Stephen Peery, Brian Buchanan, and Glen Shelton. Emcee:  Jana Allen.

Jana Allen has had speaking roles in movies starring such Hollywood stars as John Goodman, Michael Madsen, snd Sasha Baron Cohen.  She landed reoccurring roles in “Man Hunter Unabomber” and  “Righteous Gemstones.  Also, she performed as characters with speaking roles in ” “The Shunning,” “The Bleeding,” “The Hollow,” and “Why, My Child.”  Recently, she has appeared in “Creep Show” and “Fear Street.”  “Remember Yesterday, Wilmington Love Story” is soon to be released, and Jana performed as the female lead.

Glen Shelton is an award-winning songwriter and Christian Country Music vocalist, a 1989 graduate of Liberty University.  Glen has opened for more than 40 nationally prominent acts, and he performs an annual concert at the River Rock Amphitheater at the Jackson River Sports Complex in Covington.

Brian Buchanan has performed with the Shenandoah Jamboree, and he was the Virginia Junior Opry’s bandleader and vocalist at The Historic Masonic Theatre during the 1990s.  He is the music teacher at Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg.

Stephen Peery and Justin Peery, Gentlemen South, have performed at the Academy Theatre in Lynchburg. Both are long-time members of The Virginia Opry.  As brothers, their voices blend well together, and the duo is frequent guest performers at the Patton Room at George’s Hotel in Lexington.  Justin performed in an episode of “Law and Order,” and owned and operated a modeling agency in New York City for a decade.  Stephen has performed on stage with Martina McBride, Collin Raye, and Mountain Thunder, the band that opened for The Statler Brothers Farewell Concert.

Bill Wade, Jr. has performed as the guitar playing Professor Wells, the lead role in the late Dr. Jim Wayne Miller’s “His First, Best Country,” on stage at The Historic Masonic Theatre, and he performers regularly at the Brian Center.  He emceed The Virginia Opry’s Christmas show in 2020.

Corbin Hayslett, the son of Michael Hayslett, a member of our Virginia Junior Opry during his teenage years. he was inducted into The Virginia Opry on August 9, 2021, bringing the membership to a total of 42.
