Community Gathering: “A Town Council Candidate Conversation”

The August Edition of the 2024 Clifton Forge Community Gatherings will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 in the WestRock Room of the Historic Masonic Theatre from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. “A Town Council Candidate Conversation” will be the main focus of this Gathering. The WestRock Room is on the third floor of the Historic Masonic Theatre and is accessible by elevator or stairs from the main lobby of the theatre.

The principal part of the program will be a conversation with the Clifton Forge Town Council candidates. Council candidates will answer questions submitted by citizens and asked by a moderator.  Council candidates are Michael Foster, Jeff Irvine, and Carl “Shorty” Wolfe. Jr.

The program will also include a presentation, “Five Sides Moving Forward”, by Kristen McConnell. Five Sides is the former Sona Bank building. Kristen and her husband purchased the building to house their law practice and are currently renovating it. The presentation will focus on the renovations and plans for future additional uses.

The Gathering will end with Blue Ribbon Recognition Awards presented to business owners who have made significant improvements on the exterior of their buildings.
