The Historic Masonic Theatre is proud to present a special VA250 exhibit in the WestRock Room, on display from May 1 through July 10. This inspiring showcase features 38 exceptional quilts, handcrafted by talented local quilters, each piece reflecting artistry, tradition, and community spirit.
Throughout the Theatre, visitors will also discover striking red, white, and blue quilts thoughtfully displayed in the Lobby, Theatre Annex, and along the halls and entrances of the third-floor WestRock Room. Together, the exhibit creates a visually stunning and deeply meaningful experience.
At the heart of the exhibition are 19 Quilts of Valor Foundation quilts. Each of these quilts has been lovingly stitched and donated by local quilters to honor and comfort service members and veterans who have been touched by war. More than works of art, these quilts are expressions of gratitude, healing, and recognition of sacrifice.
The exhibit is open Tuesdays through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to call the Theatre at 540-862-5655 prior to visiting, as the WestRock Room may occasionally be unavailable due to special events.
This moving and beautiful exhibit offers a unique opportunity to experience the power of quilting as both an art form and a gesture of heartfelt appreciation. Visitors are warmly invited to attend and reflect on the stories stitched into every piece.
